i went to this thing called creative connections through the school, and took printmaking. i signed up for drawing, and i'm glad that i didn't get the class, because this was so much fun.

This is a collagraph print. for those not familiar with the process, the plate was made using an exacto knife, wallpaper, and glue. different colors of ink were then rubbed all over the surface, and wiped away. The plate was then shoved through the printing press with a damp peice of paper left on top of it. the paper was indented and ink was brought forth from the depths of the plate. the paper itself has a lot of raised and bumpy areas from where the press permanently indented it.

This was my fourth or fifth print from this plate, and though i had been going for a candy kid look, i like how this one turned out nearly the best. Some said it reminded them of corn....whatever it reminds you of, i hope you like it.
