I drew this several months ago on the wall of a bathroom stall in the shoppette. No reason, other than I was bored and it was such a plain orange wall.
Yesterday (June 5, 2009) i graduated high school. I'm living in germany with my mom. I have no job, i'm not currently going to college. I don't support myself with my art. I told a friend of mine that now I am a bum. He disagreed, saying that no one can take away the identity of artist. He used the example of the picture above.
He told me that I am an artist, for the toilet i drew on the bathroom stall is the purest form of art. When i drew it, it was neither for critical acclaim or financial gain. I drew it for the sake of drawing.
So i went back to the shoppette and took a picture of this toilet, which is the only drawing i've done that someone hasn't erased (though as you can tell they have tried).

As stupid as it may seem, that little drawing of a crappy toilet means a lot to me, along with the comment that Troy made. Thank you.
