During creative connections I took printmaking, and I learned how to do all sorts of different printing processes. Collagraph was by far my favorite.
for those not familiar with the process, the plate was made using an exacto knife, wallpaper, and glue. different colors of ink were then rubbed all over the surface, and wiped away. The plate was then shoved through the printing press with a damp peice of paper left on top of it. the paper was indented and ink was brought forth from the depths of the plate. the paper itself has a lot of raised and bumpy areas from where the press permanently indented it.  i made this for my mom. she loves it. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
